Geocache Description:

This Cache is on the Middle Fork of the American river in the Auburn State Recreation Area.

Here is a cache you can find on your way to "Scooby Doo, Where Are You?" and/or "Ampi Cache" .
It is located on a lesser used trail and has a nice view. You can see the parking area from here.
I found this spot on my way to find the above mentioned caches and thought it was a good place for a rest, snack and a cache.

There is a Scooby Snack of one pound of See's Candy for the "First To Find" in the cache.
Update 11/11/06 - The certificate for the pound of See's Candy went to appropriately to Scoobert!

Even thought this caches name is about snacks please do NOT put any food items in the cache.
Food items are ALWAYS a BAD IDEA. Animals have better noses than humans, and in some cases caches have been chewed through and destroyed because food items (or items that smell like food) are in the cache. Even the presence of mint flavored dental floss has led to destruction of one cache. Thank You.

The Auburn State Recreation Canyon Keepers (ASRACK) have an online Trail Guide page which includes a guide for the Quarry Road Trail.

The cache is a 1.2 Qt Camo'ed Rubbermaid container.

Please log your find or no find online so I will know how the cache is doing.
If you feel my coordinates are off please post your coordinates with your log.
So I can make adjustments if necessary.

No more boring log entries.
Hey folks how about leaving a log entry that tells me something about finding this geocache or about your day of geocaching? We are all guilty of the old cut and paste but how about something more than "Good cache TNLNSL TFTC" on 10+ caches in one day? We cache owners like to hear about your experiences. It gives us a feeling of being there when we can't be, how the cache is doing, and it lets us get to know you in a virtual kind of way. That doesn't mean it has to be long just not boring.
Remember the cache owners and anyone with a watch on the cache will read your log, how about making it interesting.
We Thank You.
