A traditional cache in Shooterslee Wood, between Bolton and Belmont. The cache involves a short walk, and in winter it is likely to be very muddy.
Shooterslee Wood is a lovely little wood and Toby loves spending hours running around in here. If you are lucky you may catch sight of the deer that live around here, and we think there is also a badger sett just off the path (either that or there are some very large rabbits around!).
If you park on the road near Dingle Reservoir you could walk to the cache and back again pretty quickly, or you could incorporate the cache into a longer walk.
Cache is a small tupperware container and when placed contained a log book, a few tacky toys, and a FTF prize of an unactivated Lancashire Geocoin.
When you find the cache remember to look at the label stuck to the inside of the bottom of the container, and make a note of the special code. This will be of use in a future cache to be set by Toby's Jugs.
