Once upon a time Dreamland and TGBear went for a walk in a
beautiful little park in Hamilton. Along the trail they met a
friendly little fairy that told them a troll’s treasure was hidden
in a magical forest. Dreamland and TGBear decided to head out on an
adventure.
The little fairy told them their journey would began at the
entrance of the field of dreams. There they would find a magical
tube containing the directions across the field to the entrance of
the magical forest. The walk wasn’t very long but it took awhile.
You see the field of dreams made them very sleepy. At the end of
the field was the entrance to the magical forest. They remembered
that the little fairy told them to look for the door belonging to
the gate keeper. They searched and searched. TGBear was ready to
give up when Dreamland yelled, “I found it.” They both stood in
front of the tiny door. At last Dreamland decided to open the door.
Much to their surprise the gate keeper was waiting on the other
side of the door. He was a small snail and knew what they were
seeking. He told them that they would need to find the angels. For
only the angels knew the hiding place of the troll’s treasure. The
gate keeper told them to listen to the wind. It would tell them
were the angels were resting.
They set off once again down the path. Shortly they heard the
sweet mellow sounds of music. There under a bush they found the
angels resting. The angels looked up at them with beautiful pale
smiling faces. When they spoke their voices were soft and sweet
like a whisper. The angels told them where the troll’s treasure was
hiding but warned them that the troll was mean and cranky. He did
not like to be disturbed. Dreamland convinced TGBear that they were
much bigger and smarter than the troll. They decided to finish
their adventure.
After a short walk they found the troll guarding his treasure.
TGBear lured the troll away from his treasure by throwing sticks
and pine straw in the opposite direction. While the troll was
searching for the source of the noise Dreamland snuck up and took
the treasure. They took some of the treasure and signed the log.
Dreamland snuck back to return what was left of the treasure. As he
was leaving the troll returned and was very angry. He zapped a
spell on Dreamland that turned him into a toad! TGBear quickly
picked up Dreamland and run as fast as she could to safety.
TGBear, not liking toads very much, went to search for the
little fairy to ask how to turn Dreamland human again. When they
found the little fairy she giggled at the sight of Dreamland. She
said the spell only lasted a few hours then Dreamland would be
human again. TGBear thanked the little fairy for a grand adventure,
picked up Dreamland and headed home. Dreamland was back to normal
by the time they reached town. He laughed and said what a dreamy
day!!! He hoped others would have as much fun on their adventure
trying to find the trolls treasure.
