Poplar Run Oddities Traditional Cache

Parking Area Location: N38.55.479' W78.39.855'. Parking area is accessed from FR 92, located off of Wolf Gap Road (SR 675). It's all hiking from here.
From the parking area, hike SE into the forest for 100-200 feet until you come to an old logging road ("Stony Creek Trail" on USGS Topo). Bear right and follow this logging road downhill for approximately 3/4 mile (the logging road will turn into a footpath about half-way). Eventually you will enter a narrow gap between two ridges. At this point you will enter an Eastern Hemlock stand and cross over a beautiful mountain stream (Poplar Run). Follow the trail for another 200 feet or so past the stream and look up to your right to see a steep slope covered with sandstone boulders. Start climbing!
Update: Cache is repaired as of 1-23-2009! Replaced the old container with a nalgene bottle. Replaced logbook, etc. Happy caching!
