Geocache Description:

This cache can be found near the village of Dromolaxia, situated to the South West of Larnaca.

This cache is within 30 metres of the highway but CANNOT be accessed from it. The above coordinates will take you to the highway junction which should be used to locate this cache; they are not the cache coordinates.

To find this cache you must firstly work out the following:

kuzey otuz dört elli üç bes yüz altmis bir dogu sifir üç üç otuz dört sekiz yüz otuz sekiz

The beautiful 18th century aqueduct was built in 1745 by Pasha Abu Bekr in the Roman style, to carry water from a source about 6 miles south of Larnaca into the town. It surfaces in a gully along the highway to Limassol and was still in use until 1930. The spring which supplied the water is situated at Arpera Chiftlik, but today appears to have been capped and cannot be seen. If however, you venture to the (dry at time of setting) Tremithos-Kiti Dam, you are able to hear the water bubbling away below your feet – unfortunately it is an uninspiring place! (If it had been interesting, you would have been looking for another cache here!!)

Standing at the cache location and looking across the highway towards Larnaca, you will be able to see the continuation of the aqueduct.

The cache container is a small lock n lock box
