A short 0.5 mile hike along takes you an incredibly scenic but lesser known "point" of Odiorne Point State Park.
Park at the boat launch (43 02.930 N/ 70 43.581W)or near the Park's main gate at (43 02.719 N/ 70 42.927W). In season, there may be park staff collecting admission fee at the parking areas. However the walk is worth the price of admission. Following the Park's trail system will lead you through the ruins of WWII Fort Dearborn and possibly along the coast with remarkable ocean vistas. Please avoid bushwacking in the Park as there is quite a bit of poison ivy in the underbrush.
The cache is in an O-ring sealed plastic container that initially contained crayons, gloves, marbles, mardigras beads, a mini art set, a race car and a hammerhead shark!
