Geocache Description:

Cache is located on FR 182 which you can get to by taking Eschrich Road (off Rt. 59). Terrain is not that difficult, we rated it 2.5 because of the leaves covering the ground. Please be respectful of hunters and wear orange during hunting season.

Curly Top and I wanted to place a cache on Veterans Day. We named it "Soldier Boy" after a favorite 1962 oldies by The Shirelles.

There are many, many great patriotic songs. Right after we placed the cache, Sgt. Barry Sadler's "Ballad of the Green Berets" was playing on the radio - a great blast from the past!

Lee Greenwood's is another favorite:

"And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA."

Be sure and check out our other two caches in the area, "Poor Marty Syndrome" and "I Say A Little Prayer".

FTF: Bear dressed as a soldier (see photo) or a green Jeep.

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in....And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
