Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the train trestle that spans Kendrick's Creek. Easy walk/bike over level packed terrain.

The cache is a Coleman 2 ltr. thermos with a screw top lid. It contains a log book and a few small items to trade with others. The location is around the rail trail trestle that spans Kendrick's Creek.
The train trestle was built in 1875 for the Victoria Railway Company. After compleation of the trestle the railway was continued to the town of Haliburton.
For a short hike(15 min.)you may park at the end of Howland Junction Road and walk along the trail to the north. Do not drive your car on the rail trail - only hikers, horses, ATV's (June 1st to Nov. 31st) or snowmobiles allowed on rail trail.
If you wish a little more adventure, you may park in Kinmount at N44 46.885 W078 39.167 at the restored train station and hike or bike along the rail trail north to the cache. From Kinmount it would be about 4 to 5km along level packed trail that follows the Burnt River and through forested areas.
