This cache replaces my Franchot Park Cache GCJDZJ which was taken away with the piece of equipment removed from the park. Should be an easy short walk around the park. Park closes at 10pm Make sure you are out of there by then.
The above coords are for parking even though it's not necessary to park there but it will be a starting point. From the coords listed go 330 ft and you will find the coords for the final.
Years ago my uncle owned this land that the park is located on. It was a scrap and recycling center. Olean Steel Sales and Service Co. Once he sold the land to the city it was quickly cleared and made into a nice neighborhood park for all to enjoy. I encourage you to walk around seeing what there is here, baseball fields, horseshoe pits, pavillions, swimming pool for youngsters, playground area, paved walking trail circling the property. It's my favorite city park and have been down here countless times when my kids were small. Now I feel that I should have at least one cache hidden here for all to find. Good Luck !!
