Geocache Description:

***NOTE: This cache has been changed to a micro. You will need to bring your own writing utensil.

This cache is located in the beautiful Sinnemahoning State Park. This park is one of the little known gems in the north central part of the state! The placement of this cache was done in cooperation and through the suggestion of the park staff.

Sinnemahoning State Park is located in Cameron County and was first opened to the public in 1958. The park contains 1,910 acres in a gorgeous serene setting, and filled with an abundance of wildlife. Deer, bears, bald eagles, bob cats, rattle snakes and elk are just a few of the animals that can be found in this area. The area also has many activities for the entire family such as hunting, fishing, nature trails, camping, canoeing, biking, and much more.

The park staff has done a fantastic job in seeking new ways to introduce folks to this state park! In fact, the preliminary work on the placement of this cache occurred while the park was hosting its first annual Canadian-American Dog Sledders Dry-Land Event!

The purpose of this cache is to bring you into the park to see its beauty up close. The cache is pretty straight forward and you should be able to find it without any trouble. It is also located near something really BIG! What could it be???

The park staff has been extremely generous towards the caching community by working with us in the placement of caches within the park, and they have also worked side-by-side with us with the introduction of geocaching to new folks! If ever you should happen to run into any of the park staff while visiting this park, please take the time to introduce yourself and let them know of your appreciation of their support of geocaching! These folks are the nicest folks around! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy your visit!
