Geocache Description:

Located in what was once the town of Hartland. You can park just to the north of the cache.

Cache is and ammo can and contains log, pencil and trade items. Harland was once a thriving community. Hartland was founded in 1885 and in the late 1890’s had a population of over 2000. After Lakin became the county seat Hartland was on its way to becoming a ghost town. In the 1930’s most if not all of the homes and businesses had been moved or torn down. Some of the foundations can still be seen in the area.
