YahotsWalker: Well it is sad to see this one going away (for a little while at least). This is one of the original caches placed in Yachats. It remained as one of the most popular in town as it accomplished it's mission to get folks to stop just driving down 101 and catch a view of the ocean. I can only hope that it's replacement will do as well.

Geocache Description:

Right by the sea on a low lava rock bluff. No real beach.

This should be fun spot to sit and watch! I would suggest that you try this close to high tide otherwise you will miss the whole point of the cache. You might find the following web site useful for finding out when high tide occurs. There is no adjustment needed for this reference. http://hmsc.oregonstate.edu/weather/tides/tides.html. So sit down, relax, and enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. This is not wheelchair accessable. I have provided a hint as some of the log entries seem to have tried too agressive an approach which could lead to becoming very wet!
