A short walk from a layby on a busy road via a field path into a country park. A nice area, but the path may be muddy in wet weather.
Schleswig-Flensburg is the twin town of South Ribble and Schleswig Way is the western primary road around Leyland. At least the name is pronounceable, unlike Chorley's twin town of Szekesfehervar.
The parking spot and start of the walk is a layby on Schleswig Way, close to the big roundabout at its southern end. The footpath leads to a footbridge over the River Lostock, into a country park, and so to the cache.
Near the cache you will see an interesting public footpath waymark sign. It points across a large playing field, directly through two sets of rugby posts. So, if a game is in progress, you could take a walk and score a try at the same time. Looking north-west you will see the slender spire of St James's Church, Moss Side, which is a landmark for miles around.
