The cache is located along the Rainham to Purfleet riverside path which runs along the bank of the river Thames. This is a lovely walk on a nice day but not nice at all if the weather is bad. There is a nice bench near the cache where you can sit and admire the view while you watch the boats.
The carpark is located on the right hand side approx 120 metres before the security gatehouse in Coldharbour lane. Turn right off Coldharbour Lane, through the width restriction, then follow it to the right. Over some speed humps and you will come to a car park. The car park is easily seen on Google Earth alongside the concrete barges by the river. The cache is a 1km walk along the thames from here.
WARNING stay on the path, the old tip is private property and VERY dangerous to walk around. There are occasional underground fires which leave big voids covered by a thin layer of soil, if you accidently walk on one and it gives way you have had it, these voids are very big and in the past a giant earthmover was completely lost down one.
Enjoy the walk but do not stray off the tarmac path.
