South Jetty TB Motel Traditional Cache
Shylock's Love: I am moving and taking this cache with me to a new, yet to be disclosed location. It's been fun. A new geocacher will be able to set up his/her cache in this location, it seems to be a popular spot.

THIS CACHE IS DESIGNED TO DROP OFF AND RETRIEVE TRAVEL BUGS. Feel free to take one even if you don't have one to drop off. Park in designated 10-minute parking stall. No entrance fee (day use pass) necessary to find this cache.
Florence really needed a full size ammo can as a place for travel bugs to stay the night. So, originally I opened up the River House TB Motel in Old Town Florence on Bay Street, near the real River House Motel.
I had to move the cache twice since it's original placement on August 12, 2006. The first move was necessary because the empty lot it was hidden in was cleared to make way for a new 2-story condo building. Then it was removed from its second location by the Florence City Police after it was reported and the Bomb Squad was going to be called in! I'm glad they turned the K-9 team on it instead of the bomb squad (at least I got my ammo can back, intact with all contents in great shape). It was release after a two-night stay in jail with the warning that it not be placed within the city limits. If you want a laugh look at the 11-5-06 entry in the log book.
It was time for a new location and a new name. So, I moved the cache to a new, safer, location near the entrance to the South Jetty. It is not necessary to enter the park and pay the $5.00 day use fee in order to hunt for this cache. Just park in the 10-minute parking space near by.
