You can get here the easy way, from Buckhorn Summit in any good dirt worthy vehicle. Or you can come up from Platina Rd. or Indian Creek Rd. if you have a more capable vehicle like 4x4 with ground clearance.

I like the sound of it. You will love the view from up here. Another Top of the World cache.
County line road has been a favorite of mine since 1970 when I first rode up here on my Honda CT70.
You will allways be able to see a rainbow from up here as Rainbow Lake is visible from this area, Maybe I should have named it Over the Rainbow. From up here you can see Cottonwood, Red Bluff, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen and the Trinity Alps. What a view!
Since the cache is at a 6,100' elevation you will have snow in the wintertime. I placed the cache on November 18th 2006 and there was only a maximum of 2 inches of snow on County Line Road. Tracks in the snow made it easy to ride to the summit.
There is a fire lookout that is manned during fire season.
Dual Sport motorcycles are the best way to visit this location as the roads are fantastic. The best with a little moisture in the decomposed granite.
The cache is a 50cal ammo can so it is large enough to hold some great swag.
