Geocache Description:

Not far from the trail, about 20 feet or so. Water proof box.

The Chinkapin Bluffs Recreation Area is located in Louisa County and has some great hiking and bike trails, picnicking and playground areas, along with a very panoramic view of the Iowa River from an overlook deck to the east of the parking lot. This rec area covers 400 acres, with some very challenging trails, which also incorporate a "rails to trails" trail that can be accessed from Columbus Junction to the north. If you go after these geocaches, we recommend hiking boots and a hiking stick.

To help a little with the overhead interference, when you are on the path at N41 15.975 W091 20.457, head across the ditch. Good luck!

During hunting season, wear some orange and hunt this cache at your own risk. The trails are wide and maintained in most parts of the park. Maps are printed and posted on posts at all trail junctions with the standard "you are here" marking.
