This is a nice little walk around the new Essex Beach, which is located in the new Viney Creek Recreation Area. It’s hard to find – but worth the hunt. If you need the coordinates to the road that leads to the park – check the hints.
Please follow the path – there is NO shortcut to this one.
Dogs are allowed on leash and there is also a nice little dog park available if you would like for Fido to run free and make new friends.
This is a town park - and is listed as available for Essex residents only - but at the moment there are no restrictions - I will update if this changes.
Parking can be found at 41 19.618 N, 072 25.562W
Cache is a camo’d plastic box – filled with the usual kids delights. FTF is a brand new DVD.
Edited on 12/3/06. The top gate now appears to be locked for the season - but you can still park at the top and walk down. With the walk down the hill it will take you about an hour at a leisurely pace - worth the walk though.
