A Matter of Survival Traditional Cache
Toby's Gang: Checked on the cache today and we couldn't find it. It may or may not be there and could have been covered by soil. I don't want the trail to get destroyed looking for it so I'm archiving this cache.

This cache is in honor of my survival of a very tough day.
I was going for Duganrm’s series on the Warren Canyon Trail and I took my mountain bike even though most of the trail is for hiking not riding. I’ve been on this trail before so I knew what to expect and was ready for it. The plan was to do this series and then make my way over to the Fry-Koegle trail.
My problems started when I took the wrong trail to get over to the Fry-Koegle Trail. It started out ok but then took a turn for the worse. I ended up having to do a lot of rock and boulder climbing. There I was, out there in the middle of nowhere; pushing, pulling and dragging my bike over all those rock. This trail was hardly good for hiking let alone a bike.
At times I even considered leaving my bike out there just so I could make it out. I didn’t give in to my exhaustion and finally made it out of the trail from Hell.
When I saw the trailhead for the Fry-Koegle Trail, you’d think I had found the Yellow Brick Road. At the sight of it I instantly regained some energy; I was home safe.
Now about the Fry-Koegle Trail: this has got to be one of the nicest trails of the Mt. Woodson trail system. The trail is perfect for hiking and biking and there is plenty of shade. It really is a beautiful hike.
The trail is a little steep in some areas and is long, especially if you plan to hike from the top of Mt. Woodson so make sure you bring more then enough water.
