Gullstainen är ett flyttblock som med inlandsisen har förts hit till Sundre på södra Gotland. Flyttblocket som är rödaktig tillhör en grovkornig bergart, rapakivigranit, som skimrar liksom guld. Stenen vittrar sönder till grus efter hand. På finska heter det ”rapa kivi” och betyder rutten sten.
Stenen är fridlyst liksom högen med vittringsgrus.

Gullstainen (the "gold-stone") is an erratic block, which the inlande ice has moved here to Sundre at South of Gotland. The erratic block, which is redly belongs to a coarse-grained rock "rapakivi-granite", which shines as gold.
The stone decomposes gradually to graval. In Finnish it is called "rapa kivi", which means rutten stone. The stone and the gravol is protected by law.
