Geocache Description:

A micro at a band shell

The Emmett McGrath Pavilion was dedicated to the memory of this local saxophone player for whom it was named. It is located on the site of the former Cedar Crescent Casino and Dance Hall which was, at one time (not so very long ago it seems to me), a very popular spot on a summer night when many famous bands played there. The present structure provides a venue for a variety of musical groups to entertain beach and harbour goers on summer evenings. Many yachts and sailboats harbour nearby. And there's no better sunset than those over Lake Huron.
