The new ticketing system requires you to pay before leaving so you can drive beyond the visitor centre allowing you to get closer to some of the clues if you don't fancy the climb. There is an excellent children's adventure trail and picnic spot at the Juniper Car Park which has toilets and a refreshment kiosk.
