Geocache Description:

View the Puddingstone.
Redbourn is a small village within Hertfordshire, a county well known for its deposits of puddingstone. Large boulders of these can be seen in parts of Redbourn. I have been fascinated by these for a long time and below is a picture of puddingstone at the side of a ford close by Redbournbury mill.

Puddingstone is a conglomerate of pebbles imbedded in a fine grained matrix which have been converted to rock. More information about the formation and uses of Hertfordshire Puddingstone can found by clicking on the link.
The small cache is hidden close to another large boulder at one of the entrances to Redbourn village. Please be aware that devious tactics need to be deployed while retrieving the actual cache, due to the open nature of the hide.
