Parking
coords are: N40 58.567 W072 33.122. This is
the first of six caches which are located at Laurel Lake
Preserve green loop. Cache is a small Tupperware type
container hidden about 50 feet off the right side of the
green trail. Inside the lid of the cache are 2 numbers which
you will need to complete the mystery cache.
This is one of six caches on the green loop trail at Laurel Lake
Preserve on Route 25, Laurel, NY. There are 2 multi-caches, 2
traditional caches, 1 letterbox-hybrid cache and 1 mystery cache.
The green loop is about 2 miles long and all six caches should be
able to be completed in about 2 hours. Many of the hides are just
off the trail. One is about 90 feet into the woods but requires
very little bushwhacking. Many of the caches are located near a
bench so you can sit, log your cache and enjoy the woods. When you
complete the loop of caches on the green trail, if you want to go
for a few more finds,you can add on "Laurel Lake" multi (GCWM00),
"Camp Molloy" (GCWM0E) and "Lakeview" (GCZEQD) by just taking the
trail near the lake. If you decide to do this, don't forget to get
the coords for "Laurel Lake" multi before setting out on the hike
since part 1 of the multi is near the parking area.
