Geocache Description:

This is the second of the Woodland Ferry caches. The ferry is located in the very small town of Woodland. Ferry service started in the 1740's by James Cannon. At that time it was known as the Cannon Ferry. Over the years, it became a public ferry, then in 1935, the State of Delaware took over the operations. The ferry is closed on thursday's from 10am till noon for service. At this time the ferry runs daily from 7am-6:30pm daily, closed holidays and on inclimate weather. Bring your camera and take some pictures as there is beautiful scenery here. Happy Hunting
