Whilst we took a container up to Mookra Magic for Alex we found that it had already been replaced. What to do with a perfectly good ammo box now?
There are so many places to hide a cache in this area. Ruins, ruins and more ruins. An old dimantled train line and history. Pioneering achievement and endeavour. Did I mention the flies?
This location was chosen for it's history.
Yanyarrie Whim was built for the watering of stock as it was driven north and south from the abundant pastures of the early settlers. Today it is a little more than a struggling town.
Enjoy your drive here and remember that the store is closed on Saturday so there is no fuel avaliable.
You can also visit my other caches in the Northern Flinders Ranges at the same time if you are in the area. Wheally, Razors Edge and Arcoona are all waiting for you.
