Geocache Description:

Our Greatest Companion - The Official Geo-Dog Geocache

This cache was placed during "Our Greatest Companion - The Geo-Dog Gathering" (GCY1JF) This cache is located at Elsie Holmes Park in Ringgold Georgia.

I feel that dogs don't get the credit they deserve when they are Geocaching with their owners. They have hiked with us to some of the most extreme of places, and have found hundereds upon thousands of caches with us. The sad thing is they have rarely get much credit for their work....AFTER ALL, THEY ARE CACHERS JUST LIKE THE REST OF US DOGGONEIT! So with that in mind, I set up an event with that exact theme. We had lots of dogs and humans that arrived on a beautiful November afternoon, and we cached.

Everyone at the event was asked to bring along some dog-themed items that we could place into a five-gallon bucket. This was what everyone brought!

With the above in mind, this is a THEMED cache! If you would like to take some dog items, please leave dog-related items in its place.

This cache is about 100 feet off the trail in a maze of thorns and fallen trees. There is an easy way in/out, but chances are you will find it AFTER finding the cache.
