This is another cache hidden on public access land along the Erie Canal in Pendleton, NY.
You're looking for a .30 cal ammo box that is hidden among an old foundation near the canal. Much to our delight, we stumbled across this area while searching for the perfect geo-spot. We couldn't find any history surrounding the site. Judging by the old railroad ties in the area, we're assuming that it was somehow related to trains. Perhaps this site was used in the construction of the Erie Canal?
Orignal cache contents include a couple of TB's, assorted keychains, some carabiners, mini-lantern, some glowsticks, and the logbook/stash note.
Good luck and happy caching!
