Geocache Description:

There are some big thorny thistles nearby, so it would be best to leave the Polar-Fleece and poodles at home. I would duck the thistles when possible (gee, was that a pun?). The container was salvaged from a cache that I found a while back and took just for this purpose.

An easy and fun cache for Valley Park in Mendota Heights. The cache is hidden about 125' behind the little old church**. This is actually about the size of a small, but can only hold a log.

(I'm not sure if the church is Lutheran, or Cathoic. You might see a martin leave, or a cardinal enter.)

Please bring your own pen or pencil! I was too lazy to put one in (truth is... I simply forgot!)

** The "church" was a really cool birdhouse that has since fallen to the ground and has been rapidly deteriorating. Not much left of it now.
