Great park between Mt. Airy and New Market, Maryland. This is a kid friendly area and cache that both young and older cachers should enjoy finding. CACHE IS PARK APPROVED.
The park is called Old National Pike District Park, and is located along historic Old National Pike (Highway 144)in Frederick county. The park is one of the newer additions to the Frederick County Park System, opening in July 2005. Park amenities include: grills; horseshoe pits; 4 multi-purpose fields; baseball field; mister posts; walking paths; picnic tables; and play equipment...something for everybody.
The park has the following hours:
April 1 to September 30 8:00 am - 10:30 pm
October 1 to March 31 8:00 am - Sunset
First To Find prize is a golden dollar, a two-dollar bill and a 50-cent piece.
