Geocache Description:

Located in Beaver Creek State Park in the Sprucevale area on the east side of the creek. Park east side of bridge at obvious pulloff at unmarked trail head. Permission from Todd Metz, Regional Naturalist Supervisor, Portage Lakes Region, Ohio State Parks.
Discovered this unique spot, while exploring the rock outcroppings above, on way back from finding 'Rocky Road Ice Cream', which is a little further down the trail.

What is that rustling around in your backyard? What left that clump of brown hair sticking to the prized azalea bushes? Could it be a large dog? Curious George? Burt Reynolds?

Or -- better yet -- a YETI? Yes, the mysterious Yeti...also known as Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Momo, Skunk Ape, and Abominable Snowman. It's had more sightings than Elvis, and for years, man has tried to pin down the mysterious creature that stomps clumsily along the very edges of our collective subconscious. And yet all we have to show for it, are a few seconds of a blurry video of a guy in an ape suit. Until now...

The Beaver Creek area has a long history of strange sightings, including, ghosts, and the legendary Yeti or Bigfoot. Several documented sightings of a 'large, upright-walking, creature with long dark hair' have occurred around here. In April 2006, The BigFoot Field Researchers Organization held a meeting/campout at the park. In September 2006, witnesses reported a daylight Bigfoot sighting on a horse trail at Beaver Creek. The 'Ohio Howl' recording comes from this same area. (visit link)
