St. George’s Episcopal Church was founded in 1959 to provide an Episcopal presence in the Denbigh area. The present church sanctuary was completed in 1962. The church is outreach minded, service oriented, and community centered.
The church takes its name from St. George, the patron saint of England, Portugal and chivalry. According to tradition, George was a Christian martyr near Lydda in 337 AD. A popular legend attributes to him the slaying (some say the taming) of a dragon that was terrorizing the city of Syle-e. April 23 is celebrated as the Feast of St. George. The cache is a keyholder.
Despite "No Trespassing" signs near the cache, permission has been granted for placement of a cache here.
