Pete's Pond (Auckland) Multi-Cache
Tramper Ted: Well the time has come to archive this one. Unfortunately there is a restaurant with big glass windows within 5 metres these days. Thanks to all those who have found this one and enjoyed their tour of the area in the process. The cache has been damaged for some time and after inspection (thanks Sp8s) we have decided to archive it.

Pick a fine day, allow plenty of time and enjoy the local coffee, beverages and food. There will be many muggles most of the time but they should not pose any problems. There is water close by so be careful with little ones.
The above co-ordinates will take you to the start where there is parking available. It is Pay and display so be careful as the council is keen for revenue in this area. There is other free parking in the area but you will need to search and a walk may be required. Make sure that you read all the information on the "Maritime trail" and see if you can spot the "Bale Hook". To find the final you will travel a merry dance to visit the waypoints in order to obtain some information at each that will enable you to calculate the next waypoint, or you could use a different method. All waypoints and the final have the co-ordinates S 36 50.??? E 174 45.??? WP1 S.702 E.681 WP2 S. ((the year Henry was elected plus 83) divided by 3) E. ((the year Henry resigned plus 69) divided by 2.5) WP3 S. (the day Phil Warren opened the bridge multiplied by 27 plus 4) E. (the design load multiplied by 9 minus 14) WP4 S. (the number of KVAs plus 80) E. (the number of Volts plus 212) WP5 S. (the number of discs squared multiplied by 2) plus 3. E. (the height in meters multiplied by 12 squared) minus 2 WP6 S. (the counter weight in tonnes multiplied by 5 plus 27) E. (the number of years it operated multiplied by 13 minus 14) WP7 S. (the Total number of feet on the both decks divided by 2) minus 3. E. (the displacement in tonnes of the bigger boat multiplied by 20 minus 8) Final S. (the year on the AHB divided by 2.5 minus 100) E. ((complete the sum on the plaque) multiplied by 7 minus 2)
