Yes, that's right! The incredibly wonderful and remarkably
intelligent staffers at Pocahontas State Park have given us new
digs in the beautiful Heritage Center to use once each quarter. So
we'll be celebrating the winter season in style on Sunday, January
28th beginning at 2:00pm. We want all the cachers in the area to
come and join us for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and more
obscure electronic equipment than anyone ought to have in one
room.
Obviously there will be lots of great conversation and cacher
networking going on but what else will we be doing?
For one thing, we'll be handing out the 2nd Annual CVGA
"Stashie" Awards to honor the best of the best caches in our area.
Check out the CVGA Yahoo! Group site for more information on the
awards process and rules: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/centralvageocaching/
We'll also be talking about and making plans for GeoWoodstock V
which will be held just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road in
Raleigh, NC. Some cachers have expressed a desire to have a "CVGA
presence" at the event. Maybe we can all camp together. Bring your
thoughts and ideas.
We'll also be discussing area caches, concerns, and ideas to
enhance the caching experience in our area and to keep the CVGA
playing field as one of the best anywhere.
We're also asking each participant to please bring a snack,
dish, drink, or dessert to share with your fellow cachers.
Check back in the coming weeks as we publish more detailed
information about what will be going on!
