Geocache Description:

2 stage multi starting at Oxon Hill farm then drive to Henson Creek Trail for 8x8x11 inch plastic container in woods.

This 2 stage multi-cache starts at Oxon Hill Farm, a working farm run by the NPS. This is a great place to bring kids, especially in the spring when there are baby animals. When the whole TMBFamily was there scouting the location we saw no less than 15 deer staring at us from the woods. Note though that the farm closes at 4:30pm so don't bother trying to swing by in the evening. It is open all year though. No dogs allowed here, but they are at stage 2. More info at nps.gov.

You can catch some nice views of the Potomac including from the spot the coordinates will lead you to. There you will find a plaque which mentions a letter. Take the numbers in the year the letter was written and assign them to ABCD. The coordinates of the next and last stage are then:

N 38 4(B-A).(A-C)3(A-C) W 76 5(B).(A+B)(A)(D) each (...) represents one digit

This will lead you to a good sized plastic snapware tucked in a hiding spot in some woods a short drive away. Unfortunately, despite repeated attempts, I have not been able to maintain the large outer container and ammo cans are not allowed. I added a smaller inner container and adjusted the size in this listing. Please replace with outer container upside down so water can drain. Note that DOGS ARE ALLOWED at (and love) stage 2. This is a good way to start the series of caches along Henson Creek Trail though it will take some time to get all of them.
