A pleasant viewpoint overlooking the upper part of the Vale of Edale with easy access off the Pennine Way.
The cache site is on moorland common ground and is easily accessible from Edale or Upper Booth via the Pennine Way. There is no need to cross any walls or fences. This cache is dedicated to the late Roy Kitson, a National Park Warden, who is remembered on a new gate post nearby.
The cache is contained in a 1 litre tupperware box with logbook and usual stuff. The cache hidey-space has been modified so there's no need to lift the large and HEAVY stone and damage the cache container again! A stone on the up-hill side conceals the 'vault' under the LARGE stone. NO WEIGHT LIFTING NEEDED!
