This cache has been archived.

The Cartooners: This one has indeed gone missing.

As this cache didn't have the expected interest I have decided to archive.

Many thanks to those that did find it and apologies to Hugh Jampton and Maple Leaf for attempting without success.

That's all folks!!!

Dastardly Rating

Weston's Who Dunnit Cache
  The Mystery
The fact that you are reading this cache right now it is assumed that you have successfully completed all previous 6 caches to determine which characters were involved in the dastardly deed (I had to get it in somewhere). If you haven't already done so then you will need to complete these first and then re-visit this cache at a later date.

The suspects are: Reverand Green, Colonel Mustard, Mrs Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet and Mrs White

Possible implement used: Candlestick, Dagger, Lead Pipe, Revolver, Rope and Spanner

The rooms are: Ballroom, Billiard Room, Conservatory, Dining Room, Hall, Kitchen, Library, Lounge and Study

So you fancy playing sleuth. You are Chief Inspector Cluedo of the Geocache Constabulary and you have been detailed to solve the mystery of Tudor Mansion. Over the last few weeks you have taken notes and made your deductions. So you now know who did it, with what and where. Congratulations

But wait. Something new has recently come to light. Dr Black has hidden a stash of cache which must be retrieved at all costs. You decide to re-visit Tudor Mansion to conclude your enquiries. The table below details the findings that you made.

Room Main Findings
Ballroom A Grand Piano, a Gramophone containing a record of a loveable female and glasses of sherry
Billiard Room Low beams, a broken cue and a glass of brandy.
Conservatory A secret passage to the Lounge and excellent views
Dining Room A fine 'grained' table containing ½ bottle of Port and 2 used glasses.
Hall Nothing of interest here
Kitchen A chopping block, 3 teapots and plenty of cups of tea.
Library Books strewn all over the floor with "The murder at the vicarage" by Agatha Christie open on the table.
Lounge An open fire, Brandy glasses with lipstick on them and another piano
Study A half written letter to Mr Pink regarding some stolen money and coffee

Other You noticed that one of the females within the mansion reminded you of a relative but it wasn't your Mother who would be too young. You conclude that water is close at hand but there is no reservoir or watering hole nearby.

What you need to do now is find all the letters from the clues below and re-arrange them to create the name of a local area that you will need to visit.

  • 1st letter of the surname of the person who did it.
  • 1st letter of the room involved.
  • A vowel not found in the implement used.
  • 3rd letter of the implement found within the Camberwick Green cache.
  • Last letter of the structure found at N51° 21.892 W002° 56.145.
  • 2nd letter of the county where Tudor Mansion resides.
  • 4th letter of the day that the Daily Echo printed detailes of the murder.

The Cache

The exact car park to start from can be determined from deciphering the information that you gathered on your return vist to Tudor Mansion. Only some of the information that you gathered will assist you. Remember, this is your only chance to retrieve Dr Blacks stash of cache.

From your parking location, take a southerly direction for approx 500 feet to locate a footpath. The footpath continues south but you will need to deviate from this heading very briefly. You will then pick up another sign.

The cache is located under the 3rd single bush to the right of the footpath after crossing a foot bridge.

For a circular walk of approx 1.75 miles continue along the footpath and turn right at the end. At this point you may wish to feed the ducks who might just drop in, literally. Please keep dogs on a lead during your cache hunt. You will have plenty of chance to let them loose on your return journey.

We hope that you have enjoyed Weston's Who Dunnit Cache.

That's all folks!!!
