Another cache situated on Aberdeen's old suburban railway
Aberdeen's old suburban railway ran from Aberdeen through Ruthrieston, Pitfodels, Cults, Bieldside, Murtle, Milltimber and Culter, then onwards to Banchory and Ballater. Closed in 1966 the 6 mile trackbed from Holburn Street to Culter was surfaced and now provides a popular cycle & walking route through the suburbs.
Since the line closed much of it has returned to nature although many of the station platforms and some of the buildings remain obvious.
The cache is a 35mm film canister situated next to a bridge in sight of one of the original stations on the line. GPS signal is variable due to tree cover so you may well need the clue. Please take your own pen / pencil.
