Geocache Description:

The above coordinates will take you to a small memorial with a bronze plaque honoring 13 men from the village who served during world war I.One of those men was my grandfather.I happened to be driving by the old neighborhood the other day, the last time I was here was in the 70s.I noticed the stone memorial and went over and looked and to my surprise my grandfathers name was on the bronze plaque.Igrew up here and never knew his name was on the plaque. He served on the front lines in France and was burned by mustard gas. The burns he suffered bothered him the rest of his life.He died around 1960 I was just a kid but I do remember him.My mother told me he was the adventurous type and I bet he would have loved the hobby of geocaching. So now you know my story and now on to the cache. First you will have to count all the letter K in just the veterans names. If there is none enter 0 then count all the letter E in just the veterans names the total of k and e will give you the last three numbers to the north coordinates.Next add the two dates on the plaque and divide by 22. Then count all the numbers and letters on the whole plaque and take the total and add them to the divide by 22 total .This will give you the last three numbers to west coordinates.Itold you my grandfather was the adventurous type where the cache is located is along the river bank and the only way to get there is by kayak canoe or climbing down a 50 foot embankment be careful it could be slippery with all the leaves. The cache is in a larger than a coffee can metal container tbs welcome.Five dollars for FTF. Oh I almost forgot to tell you who my grandfather was .When you sign the logbook write down the complete name of who you think he is and when enough people sign the logbook I will check and see who was correct first and I will email them the location of 5 dollars. I will post my grandfathers name when someone picks the right name. Who knows we could be related! enjoy.
