Lorin Station Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Another diminutive cache at a historical marker, near an interesting THING which will be the subject of a bonus cache.

I've often wondered what this sign said, as I drive by. Recently, Free Heeler and I have been talking about it:

"Historic Loan District"? we thought at one point.

Well, tonight, before leaving town for ATL tomorrow, I decided I'd walk down here to solve the mystery once and for all. I learned a little something - the sign includes details not found in the wikipedia entry for the Lorin District. Come see for yourself. Cache is easily accessible from Ashby BART station - this location marked the southern most stop of the CP/SP rail line.

Some stealth will be required at most hours - UNLIKE when I placed the cache. . As to the mysterious orb nearby: I've seen an identical one, many miles from here. Be watching for a puzzle involving the two items...
