Geocache Description:

This should be an easy park and grab.

Bald eagles are no longer on the endangered species list! They follow the migrating geese and nearby is an abandoned gravel pit. Since this bridge is over the East Nishnabotna River, the eagles often fly this way in the fall and spring. We've seen as many as 9 in one day....but that's NOT the norm. As normal in Iowa for bald eagles, it's a hit and miss event. In the summer we usually just see the turkey vultures soaring overhead. Eagles will be distinctive with the white head and tail feathers. Enjoy the river if nothing else and the nearby bike trail! USE THE HINT!!! The bridge apparently does some weird things with the GPS'r so coords read differently every time!
