December 7th, 1941, on a quiet Sunday morning, the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy sustained an unprovoked attack by the Imperial Japanese Naval Fleet. Of 8 American battleships, 1 (U.S.S. Arizona)was destroyed, 2 sunk at their moorings, 1 capsized, 1 beached (U.S.S. Nevada), the rest in various states of serious damage. 2403 American servicemen were killed, and 68 civilians were killed.
This event resulted in many changes, and formed the world we live in today.
If you remember stories told by Mom or Dad, Grampa or Uncle Al about their experiences back then, mention it in your log.
