GBES 4th Birthday Party and Awards Dinner Event Cache

It’s the Great Basin & Eastern Sierra Geocachers’ 4th Birthday Party and Inaugural Awards Dinner!

 

January 20, 2007 5 pm.

It’s going to be an evening celebrating geocaching in northern Nevada and an opportunity to honor our members who have found over 1000 geocaches and some of the cache-owners in our home-turf.

The party will be at the Silver Club Hotel/Casino, 1040 Victorian Ave., Sparks, in their Victorian Banquet Room, on the second floor at the top of the escalator.

The festivities begin at 5:00 pm with a Meet & Greet/Cocktail hour. There will be a cash bar, not to be confused with a cache-bar.

Dinner, including spaghetti, salad, bread and beverage will be served at 6:00 pm. The meal will be served banquet style by the Silver Club's staff.

Following dinner, we’ll cut the birthday cake and award the owners of the caches you vote “the Most Creative Cache of 2006,” “the Most difficult Cache of 2006,” “the Best Ammo Can Cache of 2006,” “the Best Micro Cache of 2006,” “Best Multi Cache of 2006,” Best Series of Caches for 2006,” “Best Puzzle Cache of 2006” and “the Best Overall Cache of 2006.”

The highlight of the evening will be the issuing of our first 1000-find pins to our members who have achieved the lofty goal of finding at least 1000 geocaches.

We’ll cap the night off with music and dancing courtesy of McClain’s Mobile Music and all the "bench-caching" you can stand.

Cost for dinner is $15 per person and will is payable through our Paypal account.
