Geocache Description:

This is not an easy cache, but does have some options so most people could do it. For a good Challenge, try to find this without the directions below. I recomend useing a Horse, a jeep, a quad-runner, or a good hike. A good truck with high ground clearance and a short wheel base might make it. The view is great. Elevation 5278. Designed to be Hard but rewarding. Do not try if weather has been bad and roads are wet!!!

To start with turn off of Hwy U59 North on the scenic backway (aka. The Rockville road)Follow it for abt. 2 miles to the cattle guard. Turn right just past the cattle guard. If you pass a windmill after a little more than 1/2 mile, your on the right road. About 100 yards after the windmill you come to a fork. Take the left. About 100 yards farther is the place to park if you are in a car or other low vehicle and start hiking or get out the quads or horses (you will see why when you get there). The hike from this point I would estimate to be 2 1/2 to 3 miles to the cache. Continue on for abt. 1/2 mile or so and you will see an old falling apart building on the right. Just past the building is a fork in the road. If you take the left fork it will take you to the Yellowman Pictograph cache, but for this one you want the right fork and follow it forever it seams. A lot of the road is following a stream bed so a lot of the driving is one side in the ditch and the other side on the hill side. Be very careful! At one point I tried to roll my Suzuki Samuri. I parked at coordinateds N 37"05.048 W 113"03.670 but you could park before there if you felt more comfortable and just walk a litte farther. The next obstical is the cliffs. The cache is on top of the knoll. The cache is to the left when looking at the knoll, and there are a number of places along the cliffs where you can fairly safely climb if you have any climbing experiance, but Please do be careful. I climbed at aprox. coords of N 37"05.092 W 113"03.652 (taken when I got to the top So I could find my way back down). It appears Both from the top and where you park that if you hike to the east from your vehicle you can skirt around to the back side of the knoll and avoid the cliffs and have an easier hike, making it possible for more people, just a little longer. Its in a Costco nut container.
