This is a FTP - first to place - cache in an undeveloped park called Hidden Valley. It is situated between Springfield and Summit adjacent to Interstate 78 across from Watchung Reservation.
This park does not have well defined trails and none are blazed or marked. The trails can connect to Watchung Reservation and Briant Park.
The best parking is at the end of Michigan Ave off of Ashwood Ave. There is a gate at the end of the road with enough room for one car. Be careful not to block the gate.
There are other ways to access this park through local streets. Be careful of parking restrictions.
The cache is a small ammo box which is well hidden. Ticks are a threat in warm weather and at times, there is a thinning of the deer population late in the year so be cautious and consider wearing orange around this time of year.
