the cache is hidden near white rock road about a mile east of el dorado hills. you can drive right to it.
as i was searching for caches in the el dorado hills area today, i remembered that i had spent a lot of time in el dorado county as a youth. my friend 2dee2dee and i fished dozens of the lakes and streams. we especially enjoyed the desolation wilderness area, rockbound valley, and the silver fork of the american river. i will never forget our hikes up to highland lake...that was quite a climb. we enjoyed jeeping thru the rubicon trail on several occasions. and we were delighted to find golden trout on a few of our trips to the higher elevations. ah, yes, those were the days...
