The cache is an ammo box located on the Mynydd Llangatwg moorelands.
It is a steep climb up to the cache from the car park, and good footwear is espicaly required during the winter months as this area can become very boggy.
Mynydd Llangatwg has some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in South Wales with (on a clear day) fantastic views of the Black Mountains and Llangorse Lake.This cache is best done on a clear day so that you will get to take advantage of the scenery.
The area is complex open Mooreland rising to over 500 metres in height, and is an ideal area for practicing micro navigation as there are many land marks and features.
There is a parking area at Grid SO 15694 17079.
there is also a layby suitable for two cars at a T junction at Grid SO 15718 16556. Both of these are just off the B4560

I have made this into a TB hotel as the site gets lots of visits & is the perfect place for a coin / TB to have a rest before resuming its travells.
