How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This is a Biblio Cache - that is a cache for swapping books and, of course, travel bugs.

The concept of this cache is to create a repository of books worth reading which, had it not been for this cache, you may not have thought of reading. To do this I ask that cachers observe one simple rule:

  • Only leave a book which you have read and genuinely recommend.

In this way you can hopefully be sure of taking home something which is worth reading.

I managed to get six books of small/moderate size into the cache and each of them I have enjoyed and I hope you do too. I hope this idea works, I am looking forward to seeing cachers' responses.

Cachers who enjoyed this cache may wish to have a look at Bookcrossing.

To get to the cache it is necessary to cross some heather. At the time of placing (December) this was not problematic however the heather could be more obtrusive in the summer months. Please take care not to damage the heather that obscures the cache from the path (you'll see what I mean) and please don't apply brute force to extricate it from its hiding place. I got it in with careful agility but if it were pulled the wrong way it will probably get damaged.

There is no need to touch the nearby stone wall.
