Geocache Description:

The above coordinates will put you in a parking area of LeFluer's Bluff Park. This is the best place to park for this multi-stage cache. Some bushwhacking will be required. This cache was placed for the "T'was the Cache Before Christmas" event December 16, 2006, and will become permanent after the event. Each stage was averaged over 100 times over several days. Due to tree cover, my accuracy was showing a little under 20 ft.

This year Santa wanted a change of scenery, and the cold of the North Pole was starting to seep into his bones (he is getting old after all, almost as old as ADS1) so he rounded up Mrs. Santa, all his elves, and the reindeer and told them that they were moving to the Jackson, Mississippi metro area for the winter. They were planning to load everything into the sleigh and fly on down, but then Santa realized that El Ka-bong, Woodduck870 and Amagrud were probably scanning the skies for ducks, so it would be much safer to load everything in their Jeeps for the trip south. That trio is not evil by nature, but with the abundance of red around their neck area, the sight of flying venison might be too much for them to resist, them being Mississippi boys, after all!

Everything went well and the Claus’s settled into a facility that Frank Melton was nice enough to clear out for them. The day before Christmas, Santa was ready to get his sleigh loaded and prepare for the big night. When he walked outside, he discovered that all his elves had disappeared, but they had left a note which read “Gone to GMP Store – be back later”. He also discovered that Rudolph was missing. Fortunately, Hooligan and Flamingo Friend were going by and noticed Santa’s troubled antics, so they stopped to see if they could reallot something – er – help him out. They quickly explained what and where the GMP store was, but as Santa went to jump into one of his Jeeps to go get them, he found that all of the Jeeps were missing (they turned up later, most at some place called Indian Ridge and a couple at a facilities office at UMC). “What am I going to do?” Santa cried. “I’ve got to get my elves back to load my sleigh and I need Rudolph to guide us tonight!”

Recognizing their chance for some serious brown-nosing, Hooligan and Flamingo Friend quickly mobilized their fellow MAC brethren to help retrieve the errant midgets – er, elves and to search for Rudolph. Hooligan was immediately dispatched to the GMP Store to retrieve the elves, while Ronbo was asked to use his office computer to Google Earth possible locations for Rudolph. Using Google Earth and countless e-mails to other cachers, Ronbo was able to derive four (4) locations to clues for Rudolph’s hiding spot.

Rudolph’s location is N32 19.ABC W090 08.DEF and must be found if Santa is to be able to make his trip around the world bringing joy and toys to all the good boys and girls. Ronbo was able to spot the locations to 4 clues that will help you solve for A, B, C, D, E, and F. Two reindeer and members of Metro Area Cachers were sent to each location to retrieve the clues, but none have so far returned. Could this be the work of the Grinch? Or perhaps even – (gasp!) – the Starkville Mafia? Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to search out the four clues and use them to find Rudolph’s hiding place. Please send any reindeer or MAC members encountered back so they can help Santa load the sleigh and get ready for his big trip around the world.

The clue locations are :
Stage 1 – N32 19. 609 W090 08.826
Stage 2 – N32 19. 560 W090 09.006
Stage 3 – N32 19. 608 W090 08.607
Stage 4 – N32 19. 640 W090 08.521

All stages are camouflaged micro containers. The Final is an ammo box with logbook and swag, as well as a special prize for FTF. Good Luck!

CONGRATULATIONS TEAM SNOOZIE - FTF!!!
