In the Line of Duty Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

From here you can see an easily identifiable landmark. On 2/24/2008, this landmark fell over during a storm and has been removed (hopefully temporarily). Its VMA number was 133. Add 15 to its VMA number and that will give you the bearing (referenced to true North) to the cache location.

After 3/4 mile on your way there, you will notice a similar landmark. Write down its Atkron number.

Keep going for 3,000 feet with the same bearing and you will arrive at yet another landmark very similar to the first one. This one shows a six digit bureau number.

Take a waypoint here. You already know the bearing to the cache. The distance in feet from here to the cache is ABCD, where:

  • A is the first digit of the Atkron number
  • B is the fourth digit of the bureau number
  • C is the last digit of the Atkron number
  • D is the last digit of the bureau number

Once you have reached the cache location, you will have completed your line of duty.
